
Navigating the Special Education System in Massachusetts
Often times families experience barriers and roadblocks to obtaining the educational supports and services needed for their children to be successful in school. This training provides a brief overview of the educational rights for individuals with disabilities.
The module also explores the step by step components involved in obtaining and maintaining special education services in Massachusetts. Information is also provided on how to navigate the educational appeals process for instances where families have not been able to access the needed educational supports and services for their child. You will have the opportunity to review a case to better understand how you can assist a family through the special education process.
